"The Shebeen" was accepted by Coq and Bull Literary Journal for their summer 2009 edition. The story won Honorable Mention in their recent contest. This is the fifth short story from the future HiStory of Santa Monica to be published in 2009. See www.coqandbull.net/
"Lay Over" has been accepted by Ekakshara.
An extended, alternative version of "Baptism" recently won runner-up in the Cervena Barva Press Chapbook contest. Mike has been offered a contract for a chapbook which will be published in 2010 thanks to publisher Gloria Mindock.
HiStory of Santa Monica – A collection of
short stories
The stories are about characters living in Massachusetts and California and carry with them a creative non-fiction or memoir feel. Mike is currently seeking representation for this project.

Mike and friend, George Wendt at The Intermission Tavern in Boston after George’s performance as the foreman in “Twelve Angry Men” at the Colonial Theater. Mike's good friend, author and University of Akron professor, Eric Wasserman, has just announced the 2nd printing of his short story collection, The Temporary Life: Stories.
